Your mouth should speak words that minister grace, not condemnation; not criticism and lies. It grieves the Holy Spirit when you use your tongue against your brother or sister in the Lord. You must learn to throw away words that have no spiritual benefit. Tell yourself when you hear words that edify you, ‘this is the thought that I will keep’ ; and when you hear something discouraging and unedifying, ‘I will throw away this thought.’ There is a time to keep and a time to cast away. Throw away thoughts that have no positive impact.
